Hendersonville Bike Routes - Cages Bend

Bikin Home

This route consists of Cages Bend, which the map below shows, and Douglas Bend, which is off the map to the right.  The region is semi-rural and scenic with stately homes on large lots and about a half-dozen housing developments. Access is limited to these two roads, making car traffic heavy.  To make matters worse, the roads are narrow two lanes with no shoulders for bikes.  The speed limit is 40 mph. But, the terrain is flat.  The traffic makes this route not for the beginning biker.
